Juliana and Gavin - Yorkshire
Every wedding I create is special to me. Every couple is completely wonderful. But every so often a client comes along like no other. When Juliana and Gavin contacted me to do their wedding flowers I knew that this wedding would be special.
The list of suppliers was name after name of creatives at the absolute top of their game. Poppy Pickering, Clique Visuals and Suzanne Neville to name a few. The venue, Grantley Hall was sublime and the brief reflective of that. We chatted for an hour and a half about their inspiration and aim for their day and after our initial consultation I knew that I was the right fit for them and them for me.
The brief was a chic and incredibly sophisticated colour palette of white and green enhanced by silvery green eucalyptus. We wanted to elevate this however by adding texture and mix in flower varieties. For example with roses, I used five to six different varieties to achieve a slight variation in colour tone and therefore giving a very subtle but effective result.
The stand out flowers however were the orchids. I chose a variety that was absolutely pure white. The most expensive flower I have ever purchased, they really were incredible. They added an almost architectural effect to the designs and added even more drama to the tables.
Candlelight was used in absolute abundance. Juliana had expressed a desire for the tables to be full of candlelight and the outcome was just perfect. Utterly romantic, you just can’t beat the dancing shadows they create. An immediate atmosphere maker and universally flattering, I now tell my brides that the more candlelight we can add the better!
The meadows were a great design to add to the ceremony and then later to frame the top table. They add impact without being too overbearing.
As you can see from the amazing images captured by Clique, Juliana and Gavin’s day was filled to the brim with love. A couple who deserve a lifetime of happiness and joy.
