Mollie and David - Yorkshire
On a beautiful bright Friday morning Mollie married her David in the stunning grounds of Aldwark Manor. The imposing red brick of the Manor glistening in the late May light was the perfect location for this wonderful couple to say ‘I do’.
From the very beginning Mollie and David had the most amazing and clear vision for their day. They decided on a colour palette of lilacs, blush and caramel tones accented by pops of rust and deeper purples. This was the perfect season for this brief to flourish with the abundance of late spring British blooms on offer. It only seemed fitting to head first to ‘Pickers Cut Flowers’ to get my seasonal offerings. Architectural Iris and the last of the ruffled Hanoi Ranunculus were on hand to give texture and softness to the designs.
Toffee roses set against Quicksand and Playa Blanca were the perfect options to work as a base for the designs. Strength and height from the Alliums and Iris juxtaposed the delicate forms of the Cornflowers and Sweet peas. A final flourish of lightness was achieved by the use of Orlaya and Spirea and fresh, rich foliage of Beech and Silver Birch was used to bring the designs together.
This mix was particularly effective when used on the two urn designs at the end of the aisle framing Mollie and David for their vows.

Ambience Venue Styling were the perfect choice to blend the table and ceremony decor with the florals of the day. They provided the exact service to really elevate the designs and bring the aesthetic together and gave the day real cohesion from ceremony to the reception space.
All of this was captured by the wonderful Cream Photography. Amanda’s images reflected Mollie and David’s day to perfection and showcased their day in the most beautiful way, full of love, laughter and a real elegance.
My urge from this wedding is for brides and grooms looking for inspiration to consider wonderful new colour palettes and explore unique colour combinations. It was a joy to create to this brief for such a wonderful couple and I hope the first of many more to come!
