George and William - Lincolnshire

Joy, love and happiness are my three words to describe George and William. These two beautiful souls epitomise what it is to marry your perfect person and their day was one I will remember always.

They married in the gorgeous setting of Abbey Farm in Lincolnshire. A magical barn conversion full of character and texture, but still maintaining a luxurious yet rustic feel. The perfect mix for an English country wedding for two utterly wonderful gentlemen.

George and William wanted a feeling of a secret garden within the ceremony space. For the guests to feel fully engulfed in a wall of flowers. We dressed the full shelf space with meadow designs full of height and soft textures. This lead beautifully onto the broken arch design placed at the end of the aisle. Standing at nearly 8 foot this installation felt natural and loose in feeling which worked in perfectly to compliment the surrounding barn.

The other arch design placed at the entrance of the reception space was a slight step change and was more ethereal and cloud like in style.

They had requested a palette of whites and green but for a real focus to be on texture. We used an abundance of British foliage to achieve the look they wanted. Darker green tones of beech, oak and silver birch gave the perfect contrast against the fresh whites of the florals. All designs were foam free and provided a stunning back drop to their day.

The reception barn

James Williams was so wonderful on the day and his photography suited the space and style so perfectly. The couple shots and images of George and William getting ready in the morning are just incredible.

The stunning back drop of the derelict abbey in the distance.

The reception barn was a mass of candlelight. The tables had fragrant garlands of eucalyptus and fresh foliage spanning the full lengths of the tables along with bud vases and mixed heights of floating holders and dinner candles. I always say to my couples, wherever possible the more candlelight the better!

A dream day for the most delightful couple.
